Aquamonix bringing new manufacturing opportunities to Australia

The global pandemic that is COVID-19 has had undeniable and horrific consequences. With these effects on people’s lives and the economy, it hard to find any sort of upside during these tragic times.

Once such upside is that once globally focused companies are starting to again relook at their supply chains and take in to account the improved quality, security and reliability of manufacturing on shore!

Aquamonix is one such Australian based innovator doing just that. Since acquiring the Tonick Watering business in 2017, they had kept the manufacturing in the EU. The ongoing blow outs in freight costs and production lead times have now lead them to bring this manufacturing to Australia for the first time.

This week has seen the first Tonick DIAS being shipped out their new manufacturing facility in Adelaide directly to a large customer located in Florida, USA. It expected that the production output from this facility will exceed 100 thousand units per annum.

Manufacturing in South Australia will allow Aquamonix to have better control over the quality and on time delivery of our decoder product as we rapidly grow our international markets” states Jason Schoch”, Aquamonix’s Perth based Product Manager for Irrigation Technology.
